ADA-Compliant Ramps & Sidewalks

ADA-Compliant Ramps & Sidewalks

ADA-COMPLIANT CONCRETE RAMPS, CURB RAMPS & ACCESSIBLE ROUTES

We install ADA-compliant curb ramps, sidewalk transitions, and accessible routes meeting all federal ADA Standards for Accessible Design and Minnesota state requirements. Every ramp includes proper slope ratios (1:12 max running slope, 2% max cross slope), detectable warning surfaces (truncated domes), level landing areas, and proper drainage. We work with municipalities on sidewalk replacement programs ensuring full ADA compliance.

Key Highlights

Curb ramp construction

perpendicular, parallel, and blended transition ramps meeting ADA and PROWAG standards.

Detectable warning surfaces

truncated dome installation at street-level transitions for visually impaired pedestrians.

Accessible route grading

maximum 1:12 running slope, 2% cross slope, with level landings at transitions.

Why Choose Our ADA-Compliant Ramps & Sidewalks

ADA compliance isn't optional — and getting it wrong creates liability. Our crews are trained on current ADA Standards for Accessible Design and Public Right-of-Way Accessibility Guidelines (PROWAG). We pour curb ramps and accessible routes with precise slope control, proper detectable warnings, and documentation for municipal inspection.

Signs You Need ADA-Compliant Ramps & Sidewalks

1. Non-compliant slopes

Existing ramps exceed maximum slope ratios or lack required landings and detectable warnings.

2. Missing curb ramps

Intersection corners lack ADA-compliant curb ramps, creating barriers for wheelchair and mobility device users.

Our Process

1

Step 1Survey and design

Measure existing grades, design ramp geometry to ADA specifications, and plan detectable warning placement.

2

Step 2Demolition and forming

Remove existing non-compliant ramp, form new ramp to engineered grades and dimensions.

3

Step 3Pour and install

Pour concrete, finish to specified texture, and install detectable warning surface (truncated domes).

FAQs About ADA-Compliant Ramps & Sidewalks

What is the maximum slope for an ADA ramp?

ADA allows a maximum running slope of 1:12 (8.33%) and a maximum cross slope of 2%. Ramps longer than 30 feet require intermediate level landings at least 60 inches long. Top and bottom landings must also be at least 60 inches long.
