FAQs About Park & Recreation Concrete

How thick should a basketball court slab be?

Outdoor basketball courts should be 4-6 inches thick with welded wire mesh reinforcement. The surface should be troweled smooth (not broomed) and have a minimum 1% slope for drainage. Control joints should follow the court layout to minimize crack visibility in the playing area.
